Based on a triangle, trying to capture the curling effect of a fern leaf, but not as successful as I hoped.
A circle cut in a spiral and coiled into an abstract shape. ( a bit like curling tomato skins into roses).
A circle, cut and curled. The shape is held together with staples. The edges reflect the light and create interesting shadow. I photographed it from different angles to show this.

I like this print. I used a mixture of purple, magenta and white on the pallette so each shape printed in a variagated colour. My husband (retired Primary School teacher) saw this exercise and said it reminded him of making lanterns . I just like the shapes and shadows it creates so took a few photos from differnt angles.
I love the shapes and shadows here, I must be able to use this in future!!
This piece was printed with orange/red and overprinted with orange and yellow on one side and orange on the reverse. Not quite an aminal print but there are hints of giraffe here! The curls are held in place with double-sided tape.
This example had to be propped up on a crumpled piece of paper to photograph it. The effect is very Frank LLoyd Wright!
