My "synthetic" felt turned out to have a pecentage of wool in it so wouldn't burn. I worked these samples on sheers instead.
The Greek Key stitch in a varigated thread worked well and would make an interesting background fabric.
The sari yarn is bright and colourful, ideal for the carousel horse ideas.
I bought the tassled yarn ages ago and not found a use for it until now. It fits the carousel horse idea.
I am not a lover of white with a colour but I think the red/white samples turned out well.
I should have added stitching to the print, but the border is an idea for the future.
I thought the samples would be flattened by the scanner lid so I too photos too. As I like using Wiremash, garden wire has distinct possibilities!!
The illlustration does not show how horrible this fabric is. It looks good here. I might use it again!!
My machine does several types of buttonhole and has a special foot to remember the size and make all the other buttonholes the same as the first. This seemed to have a mind of its own and I gave up with it and worked the buttonholes manually, marking them out in the traditional way.
I think I stretched the fabric too much and the edges rolled. Perhaps double fabric would work better.
