Chapter 6

 

 My machine has been for servicing so I did all the designs on paper then all the stitching when it came back.  I collected it on Monday and by Friday it demanded oiling!

Designs taken from 1950s images.

 I tried the straight line design .........

 and the curved line design too.....

I'm pleased with the result.

 Both designs were used as I couldn't decide which one I preferred.

I forgot to reverse the tracing so the design is the wrong was round.

The two images above are in the wrong order.  (This updated bloggger does some strange things and I haven't been able to sort it out yet!!!!!!!)

 

 The idea worked quite well, although the stitch pattern looks a little messy in parts.

 I rotated the design when mounting it,  the design  looked like eyes and eyebrows
