This was such a good exercise and I found it difficult to select three for development.
My final choices.......
I had always intended to make a drawstring bag from a previous sketch but I kept coming back to the masks,the Venice carnival masks in particular, so I tried to develop ideas from research and work from other chapters.
Although some of these have potential I wasn't very inspired and still prefer the little drawing based on the folk art owls from my research. I printed of a small version for reference and keeep my drawings looking more like an owl and less like a kitten!!
A bit more research...........
and an almost final idea, but I think the top plumes may be too tall. (it reminds me of something but can't think what it is).
